SB11

SB11 CV Sequencer

Product Description

(This module is included in the System B)

The SB11 is a vintage style control voltage sequencer that can be used in one of three different modes:

  • A 16 step, 1 track sequencer (16×1).
  • A 8 step, 2 track sequencer (8×2).
  • A 4 step, 4 track sequencer (4×4).

The three modes can be toggled with a switch. In 16×1 mode only out4 is the main output of the one track. In 8×2 out2 and out4 are the main outputs of the two tracks. And in 4×4 all out1out2, out3 and out4 become the main for all 4 tracks. Whenever an output is not the main, it still outputs usable voltages when the current step led is in it’s row.

The module is clocked using an external clock in. When Reset In is low (<=0.15V) the sequencer is playing (when it receives clocks/triggers). When Reset In is high (>=0.25V) the sequencer is stopped and reset to the beginning*. When Reset In is mid level (between high and low), the sequence is paused**.

The length knob/CV is used to control the length of the gate out patch points which can be used as input to EGs. There is a Forward/Reverse/Ping Pong switch to choose which direction the sequence should go. There is also a quantize switch to control whether or not the CV outs produce chromatic scaled notes.

*Actually it resets to the end of the sequence so that the next clock will jump to the first step.

**In Eurorack, there is usually NO in between mid level (Pause). Sequencers are either playing or stopped. But can not be paused and then resumed. We introduce PAUSE because DAWs usually have pause in there transport control.
